| A native of Edinburgh Scotland and now residing in Bangor, Northern Ireland. At 10 years old I received tuition from 2 uncles, the late Norman and George Summors and started playing with the Woolmet Pipe Band. I received further tuition from the late John D. Burgess to progress my solo playing where for many years after this I competed successfully in solo competitions. I later played with the Lothian and Borders Police band from Edinburgh and enjoyed success in Grade 1 championships. I have been a fully qualified RSPBA adjudicator since 1978 and adjudicate Piping and Ensemble. I am currently the second longest serving senior member of the adjudicators panel and also judge at many solo competitions with and outwith the RSPBA. I have Judged in England, Ireland, Germany, The Netherlands, Canada and the USA. | ||
